Your vision is priceless and we want to ensure it receives the care it deserves. Good vision is essential to children’s development and the Ontario Association of Optometrists recommend infants have their first comprehensive eye exam at six months of age.
Children under the age of 20 are covered by OHIP for yearly eyes exams. Seniors age 65 and over are covered by OHIP every 12 or 18 months. It’s important to remember that even if you have perfect vision, a comprehensive eye examination is more than assessing your visual acuities! Adults are encouraged to undergo preventative routine oculovisual assessments to screen for various eye diseases, such as glaucoma and macular degeneration. Dr. Main takes her time to ensure everyone has a thorough and comfortable eye exam to help see the best they can and detect early signs of eye disease. |
