Opened by Terry Cardow in 1978, Cardow Optical has been serving the people of Guelph (and area) for many decades. In recent years Anna Warren, also an Optician, joined him in the shop to keep the tradition of high quality patient care going. In 2015 they welcomed Dr Christine Main, an Optometrist, as she has the same focus towards helping people see the best that they can.

GlassesFrom the minimalist look of Silhouettes to the bold, vibrant colours of the Vanni frames, we carry a wide assortment of frames to fit every style, Our years of experience enable us to select frames that are sure to stand up to the wear and tear that glasses go through. We have a wide variety of lenses as well, from the modern digital progressives to the classic extra wide lined bifocals. With the exception of our selection of budget frames, all of our glasses come with a 2 year warranty included.

Eye ExamsYour vision is priceless and we want to ensure it receives the care it deserves. Good vision is essential to children's development and the Ontario Association of Optometrists recommends infants have their first comprehensive eye exam at six months of age. Children under the age of 20 and seniors age 65 and over are covered by OHIP for yearly eye exams. Even if you have perfect vision, adults are encouraged to undergo preventative routine oculovisual assessments to screen for eye diseases such as glaucoma and macular degeneration.
