We are a small team of people passionate about helping you see your best (and look your best too). Founded on the base of professional service with the home town touch. The passage of time has brought some changes inside the shop but the core of the store's values has stayed the same.
Terry Cardow
|
Terry opened up Cardow Optical in 1978 after encouragement from clients at the optical he was managing in Stone Road Mall. He opened the store on Municipal Street but moved to the Edinburgh Road North location in 1986. He transformed the building from a convenience store into the quaint cottage it is now where long time clients continue to return for his advice and expertise. Terry presently works three days a week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) and enjoys his long weekends golfing, fishing, and spending time with his wife and adult children.

Dr Christine Main

Dr. Main came to the University of Guelph on a President's Scholarship, and received her Optometry degree from her home town University of Waterloo in 2000. Following graduation, Christine split her time between Canada and Europe where she learned a patient centered, service style of practice. Fluent in French and German, Christine returned to Guelph with her husband to raise their four children in the Sunny Acres Park community she loves. Dr. Main always dreamed of opening her own practice where patients would also be her neighbours and friends. Cardow Optical was the perfect spot around the corner from her home and built on the same foundation of high quality patient care.

Anna Warren

Anna has been with Cardow since 2014. She brings 14 years of experience in the optical industry and manages the store full time. Clients appreciate Anna's natural eye in selecting the perfect frame to flatter their face. Anna takes great enjoyment in Guelph's beauty and strong sense of community and was thrilled to join Terry in prioritizing customer care. When she isn't helping you see the world better, she can be found weaving or knitting her latest masterpiece.
